Let’s start with the Junior ISU division.
rnTeam Elite won both programs at Colonial Classic. With their Romeo and Juliet free program, the team from Northbrook, Illinois won the gold. The New Yorker Team Image skated a beautiful long program to close out the weekend with their highest combined score to date. Lexettes claimed the bronze medal.
rnOnly one Junior team competed in Fond du Lac this year. The local team got a total of 148.26 points.
Foot of the Lake Synchronized Skating Classic gathered eight Intermediate teams. Capital Ice Chips topped the division with a total of 67.90. Fond du Lac Blades received 63.84 to finish in second, and SwanSyncSation followed in third place with 56.94.
rnAt Colonial Classic, twelve teams battled for the top spots in the Intermediate category. Teams Elite skated to the gold medal with by over 8 points with a score of 76.16. Team Image and Ice Mates finished very close (68.32 and 68.04). Skyliners got the pewter medal in Lowell (65.23).
In the Novice A division, team Dazzlers was the only team entered and got 51.22 in Fond du Lac. In Lowell, Teams Elite earned the gold medal with a huge score of 70.06. Starlights from the Skokie Valley Skating Club claimed the silver title (63.03) and Skyliners from New York placed third (62.14).
Before flying to Austria for the Mozart Cup next weekend, the Haydenettes impressed the audience by performing their free skate this weekend at Colonial Classic. They revealed their new costumes for the free program... with different colors!
