Marigold IceUnity leads after short programs at French Cup

The French Cup, the third stage of the Challenger Series, commenced today in Rouen, France. In the Senior category, Finland's Marigold IceUnity secured the lead following the short programs. Their performance follows their remarkable triumph at the Mozart Cup in Austria last week, demonstrating their strong progression in the current season.

Senior ISU

Marigold IceUnity delivered a compelling short program, earning them the top position going into the free skate. Their routine was marked by precision and artistic expression, setting them apart from their competitors.

Close behind, Canada's Team NEXXICE secured second place with 73.16 points, while another Finnish team, Team Unique, holds third place with 65.88 points. Eleven Senior teams are competing this weekend in France.

Junior ISU

In the Junior division, Finland's Team Valley Bay Synchro Junior leads with a score of 74.01 points, closely followed by compatriots Team Fintastic Junior with 73.85 points.

The United States' Team Fond du Lac Blades Junior is in third place, having earned 68.25 points. A total of 20 teams are registered, which makes the Junior competition totally exciting!

Advanced Novice

The Advanced Novice teams also displayed promising talent during their performances. Finland's Team Dynamique finished with 85.47 points, narrowly edged out Team Finettes, also from Finland, who scored 85.04 points.

Team Valley Bay Synchronics, another Finnish team, earned the third place with 78.35 points. Four teams were competing in the Advanced Novice's field. 

The French Cup continues tomorrow with the free skate segments, where teams will have the opportunity to build upon their short program performances.
