Challenger Series 2025/26: four cities to watch

From the historic city of Nottingham to the Nordic charm of Turku, the ISU Challenger Series 2025/26 will take teams across four famous synchro locations. Here's where the top synchronized skating events will unfold next season.

The International Skating Union (ISU) has officially announced the calendar for the 2025/26 Challenger Series in synchronized skating. Four competitions, spread across Europe and North America, will offer teams great opportunities to fine-tune their programs ahead of the World Championships.

Nottingham, GBR – Britannia Cup (January 9-10, 2026)

The Challenger Series will kick off in Great Britain, where Nottingham will once again host the Britannia Cup. Quickly becoming a key fixture in the ISU Challenger Series, this competition is praised for its competitive fields and nice atmosphere, offering a perfect early event for Senior and Junior teams.

Eindhoven, NED – Lumière Cup (January 24-25, 2026)

Two weeks later, the Challenger Series will head to Eindhoven. The Lumière Cup remains a highlight in the European calendar, renowned for its passionate crowds and smooth organization. 

Boston, USA – US Synchronized Skating International Classic (January 30-31, 2026)

The series will then cross the Atlantic to Boston. As one of the strongholds of American synchronized skating, the US International Classic will promise a highly competitive environment, with many US powerhouses and international contenders expected to take the ice in front of an enthusiastic audience.

Turku, FIN – Marie Lundmark Trophy (February 7-8, 2026)

The final stop of the Challenger Series will be in Turku, Finland. The Marie Lundmark Trophy has built a reputation as a must-watch event, often featuring a field close to the level of the World Championships. For many teams, this will be the ultimate international test before the Worlds.
