2019 Junior Worlds: Let’s present the teams!

The ISU World Junior Synchronized Skating Championships will be held in Neuchatel (SUI) this Friday and Saturday. 23 teams representing 18 countries will be competing. While some have become unavoidable in the synchro world, others will deserve our full attention. Overview of the competitors. 


Tatarstan and Junost won the 2019 Zagreb Snowflakes Trophy

Friday and Saturday, the 2019 Zagreb Snowflakes Trophy took place in Croatia. 31 teams from Europe and the USA competed in six different divisions. 

Synchro Worlds 2018: Finland Returns to Podium Top Spot

Finnish Marigold IceUnity defeats reigning two-time champion Russian Team Paradise and secures top spot of the podium on Saturday evening in the Ericsson Globe of Stockholm. The ISU Junior World Synchronized Skating Championships ended a week ago in Croatia. Our photographer Tero Wester photographed this competition with very beautiful shots to discover now. 


Junost, Skyliners and Crystal Ice took the 2018 World Junior medals

On the second competition day of World Junior Championship, the 21 teams continued their race with their all-out effort. The first 4 teams from Short Program kept their positions while middle-tier teams’ positions have shifted much.

Junior Worlds: Russia and USA dominated the Short Programs

The first competition day of the 2018 ISU World Junior Synchronized Skating Championships took place on Friday evening in Zagreb, Croatia. The 2017 Junior World Champions Team Junost from Russia finished atop of the competition. Skyliners (USA) trails the leader by three points in second place, while Crystal Ice  (RUS) also is provisionally third.

Siiri Eskelinen: “It feels great and unbelievable at the same time”

A few days before the World Junior Synchronized Championships (JWSSC), I had lunch with Siiri Eskelinen, the head coach of Dream Edges, Team Finland 1 for the first time at the Junior Worlds this weekend. She shared with us some of her thoughts just before the competition.

21 Junior teams are preparing for the Worlds

The 2018 ISU World Junior Synchronized Skating Championships lands at Zagreb’s Dom Sportova in Croatia on 16-17 March. The competition will see the best 21 teams competing for the most prestigious titles.


Spring Cup: gold flies to Russia and Sweden!

After the short programs on Saturday, the junior and senior teams presented their free program on Sunday. By the Juniors, Idel of Russia maintained their first place and the top 3 has not changed. In the senior category, Team Surprise won the gold title.

The 2018 Spring Cup takes place this weekend in Sesto San Giovanni, Italy. On Saturday, the junior and senior teams presented their short program. Novice teams competed with the free program. 

Canada, Russia, USA and Finland on the podium in Salzburg

For the Junior and Senior divisions, the 2018 Mozart Cup took place on Friday and Saturday in the scenic city of Salzburg in Austria. Les Suprêmes (CAN) bring home two medals, in gold and bronze. Teams from Russian, from the USA, and Finland completed the podiums. 

With a narrow lead, Paradise confirm their World title

And the gold... for Team Paradise! The Russian team won on Saturday night the ISU Seniors World Synchronized Skating Championships in Colorado Springs, USA. The Finnish Marigold Ice Unity took the silver medal at a few tenths of a point and the Canadian Nexxice received the bronze.
