It was the weekend that all Junior teams in Finland were waiting for. Find out below who will represent the country at the 2019 Junior World Championship in Neuchâtel (SUI) in March.
The second Qualifications for Finnish teams were held in Tampere this weekend. Marigold IceUnity won the Seniors’ competition and Dream Edges was the best Junior team. The second section of Novice teams also had their competition – Starlights took the first place.
Representing the city of Kaarina, Dream Edges is the 2018 winner of junior qualifications and will be "Team Finland 1" this season. The results are historical as for the first time a non-Helsinki team will represent Finland at the World Junior Championships. Dream Edges earned a total of 108.63 points in free skating. Their total score (170.48) is the new season’s best. Team Fintastic is second.
The third qualifications for junior teams are held this weekend in Vantaa, Finland. Only the top 5 teams are competing. Dream Edges from Kaarina is leading after the short programs. They had one fall during a transition and earned 61.85 points.
